Berthollier, a family history...
A family history covering several generations.

Our profession of wine-growers is a family history whose origin goes back to before our memories. After the bout of phylloxera at the beginning of the 20th century, our great grand-father replanted a few wines which we still care for today.
Our father and maternal and paternal grand-fathers took over and developped this tradition, transforming it into a full-time profession.
Today we strive to use all the qualities of our noble grapes in order to make wines whose roots lie in our best native soil.

(picture) Harvesting around 1940 with 'La Savoyarde' mountain visible in the background.
Victor Berthollier (grand-father) is the man standing wearing a light-coloured shirt. Alexis Berthollier (father) is the boy on the cart.
